    Hi,

I've tried just about everything I know how to do, yet still I can't figure this one out.

First off, the site I am trying to access is www.Simtropolis.com.

I know this website is up and running, because I can access it from my older computer, which is in the same room and connected to the same router/modem/internet. However, when I try to access it on the computer I'm currently using, I get "This page cannot be displayed."

Also, on the computer that cannot access Simtropolis, every other website I visit, including high traffic websites, work fine. I'm only having trouble with this one website, and it started randomly a few days ago.

With that out of the way, here's a list of things I've already tried.

Typing "68.178.254.65" in the address bar (someone here suggested it in a thread I found through searching. This did nothing.), Used CCleaner and built in buttons to clean all temporary info, Did a system restore to last month, Tried multiple browsers: (IE, Firefox, and Safari beta), Reinstalled Firefox, Disabled Mcafee and Windows Firewall, reinstalled Mcafee, and Reinstalled Windows XP.

I'm quite dumbfounded that I still can't get this website to work, and I'm hoping someone on here is smart enough to help me figure out what to do.

I'd really appreciate any help you guys could offer!

No, I've put everything in internet options to low, and there are no restricted sites.

    This seems very strange...
Is it your firewall blocking some aspect of the site?

No, as listed I've tried turning off my firewall/windows firewall, I even uninstalled Mcafee completely and it still didn't work.

Also, heres a picture of the problem, using firefox, with a working forum underneath Simtropolis.

*Bump* If no one can help me resolve this, I'll probably end up reformatting my computer this weekend, which is a pain and I don't want to do, so if anyone could help me, I'd really appreciate it!

There could be a one in a million chance that the URL or IP address for that site have, somehow, got into your Hosts file.

For that to happen, someone with access to the computer (or some malware?) would have to have amended the Hosts file. Check the Hosts file and see what you can find.
