I recently wiped my dell notebook with Dariks Boot & Nuke as it was down to a crawl. I downloaded all the drivers beforehand on my laptop but the problem i now have is when I've created a bootable usb using rufus and/ or isotousb it starts to boot and then gives an error saying cant find file. is there any other way to reinstall windows?

thanks

Try copying the XP files into a CD.
Do you have the original installation disc (Windows XP)
What is the model number of your notebook?

I don't have the original disc so I downloaded a copy, I still have the licence number on the back of the notebook.
There's no point copying it to CD as the notebook has no optical drive, i have to install it from usb drive.

the notebook is a dell Inspiron mini model no; 1010 - 5997
Dell Inspiron Mini 10 (1010)

Click on "Manuals", then select the "Setup guide" to download and view it with Adobe Reader or some other PDF reader.

Instructions for restoring the Windows operating system are in pages 37 - 43.

If you live in the U.S.A., you can purchase the restore disc kit for it from here.
