I got this error message when I want to watch a DVD with Windows media player:

AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.3250 ModName: iviaudio.ax
ModVer: 2.8.18.0 Offset: 00004ba5

I presume is a problem related with codec but it's definitely too complicated forme.

Please help

goto start - run - copy and paste this into the box:

regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\system32\iviaudio.ax

restart pc - see if it works- if anything goes wrong you can undo it by running this:

regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\iviaudio.ax

Waouh , it has been effective. 30 seconds and that's it. IT WORKS perfectly. I am not able to understand why but the problem is solved and this is the most important.

iviaudio.ax is a file used to play the audio part of a video file - many people have the same problem you have with it -

"regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\system32\iviaudio.ax" tells Windows not to use that file when playing videos
