My fathers hard drive recently fried. It was IDE and I replaced it with ATA (which i doubt is the result of the problem). Everything is working and connected properly but for some reason everything is doing half of what its supposed to. I put the XP disc into the CD Drive and the drive opens and sounds like its reading, but won't read the disc. The Keyboard has power going to it because the green light is on, but it can't recognize any keystrokes despite the fact it worked on my computer... What is the problem and how can i fix it?
