I currently have firefox installed as my default browser. I recently installed zonealarm pro, bit defender, and spysweeper, and installed flashgot.

The problem is that on some sites, the browser never seems to complete downloading the webpage. In some instances, I am able to get to the main webpage, but cannot access any links further. Site I'm have problems with include cnn.com, allrecipes.com, msnbc, optonline.net/home. Other sites I have no problems with.

Any ideas. I have set the spysweeper and bitdefender as fully trusted in zonealarm. Versions are also the latest.

have you tried cleaning out your firefox cache?

    tools>options>cache tab.

also under cookies tab...is there a check in the allow sites to set cookies?
    if not try that

    Run Firefox in safe mode.
Start> Mozilla Firefox> Mozilla Firefox(Safe Mode). This runs Firefox without any extensions and the default theme. If you don't have the problem, then it is an extension or theme effecting Firefox.
