    Heres the story;

    I had windows xp on my computer and i reformatted it and reinstalled xp. I was missing certain drivers including the internet driver so i could not download the drivers i needed. I then installed vista instead and things where working great until my computer started to freeze up evertime i turned it on. I then tried to reinstall vista and this froze half way through and will not complete. So my computer has no OS on it and i cannot reinstall an OS. What do it do?

    any help is appreachiated thanks

    First Name:
    I'm assuming that computer came with XP pre-installed and not Vista.

    What's the brand name, model name, and model number of that computer?

    (If it's a Dell, advise what the 7-character service tag number is.
    If it's a HP or Compaq, advise what the product number is.)

    What's the processor type and speed?

    How much RAM does it have?

    Never format a hard drive and do a fresh install of the operating system without first identifying the computer's devices and obtaining the drivers for them.

    This is especially important if you plan to upgrade to a newer operating system or downgrade to an older operating system.
