That's a really old card on what appears to be a really old system. There may be some type of compatibility issue with the motherboard.

It could simply be that Windows has no available drivers for the GPU because of how dated it is. If it worked in XP, then it's a compatibility issue with modern operating systems. The only real solution is to purchase a newer GPU, but if you're doing that then you might as well upgrade to more modern hardware overall.

Are you sure you can't find compatible drivers for that thing. There are two ways to go. One is from the cards manufacturer (MSI XFX etc.) the other from Nvidia itself. Also make sure you uninstall all the old drivers before updating to the new ones including Physx and any utilities. There is a free driver cleaner you can get from majorgeeks and I believe nVidia has one of its own. Search for "completely uninstall video drivers" and look for links to majorgeeks or nVidia.

You appear to have a Dell Vostro 230 or a Dell Vostro 230s desktop.
What's the "service tag" number and/or "express service code" on yours?

Your Dell is running Windows 7 64-bit with only 2 GB of RAM.
It supports 4 GB of RAM, so you should max it out.

my computer is DELL vostro 230
    Service tag:1PJNX4J |Express service code : 3721465459
    is there any solution ?
because reinstalling drivers from "NVIDIA website" dosen't solve the problem.
and when i look for graphics card drivers in "DELL website" i can only find drivers for windows xp not for windows 7.
is changing the operating system to xp will solve the problem ?

You have THIS Dell Vostro 230 minitower desktop.
It shipped in November 2010 in EMEA and came with the FreeDOS operating system.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Before we proceed any further, let's make sure there isn't an issue with the Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system in that Dell.
Note: It also appears that Service Pack 1 hasn't been installed.

Download MGADiag and save it to your desktop.
Double-click on MGADiag.exe to launch the program.
    Click "Continue".
Ensure that the "Windows" tab is selected (it should be by default).
Click the "Copy" button, then leave the report window open.
Paste the report back here in your next reply.

I change my operating system from windows 7 64 bits to to windows XP hoping that the problem will be solved but the code error changed to code 10 instead of code 43 and not only appears in the graphics card also it appears in other devices . So, i discovered that my theory about changing operating sysytem was wrong and the situation become more complicated than before so i come back to windows 7 32 bits not 64 bits and the problem is not solved .the same code still there (code 43).

AFTER you do a clean install of Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7 SP1, you should install the Intel chipset driver(R246906.exe) FIRST before installing any of the other drivers.
The Intel chipset driver allows the Windows operating system to properly detect and configure the computer's devices.

I'm not a MGADiag log expert, so I've requested someone who is to examine it, so be patient.

The report is showing the PC is still in the trial notification period so you have to activate your retail Windows 7 license and then return and post a new MGA Diagnostic report.

Even, doing a clean install of windows 7 and installing the intel chipset driver first before installing the graphics card driver do not solve the problem :(

Since the computer didn't come with a Windows OS installed you cannot use an OEM version of Windows. Your previous report was showing a retail license in trial period but now it's showing an OEM one yet the license key hasn't changed and the Activation Technology utility wasn't installed to activate.

The only thing you can do if you want a Windows 7 OS is to do a fresh installation using a retail license, otherwise revert back to the OS that came with the machine.
