    Hi

I have been sent 2 memory sticks with CCTV evidence on them. When I click on the Player_Laucher.exe it won't open the file.

    I have Windows 10

I have Windows Media Player & VLC Media Player .......Both opened up but would not play the file.

Now when I click on it I just the read only message saying files on this device cant be edited.

    Please can u help

The player included is very likely the only way to open/view the files. The file CCTV files that I've seen, aren't normal video files which can be viewed in a normal media player.

Have you tried opening the player in compatibility mode?

Contact whomever gave you the sticks for confirmation and/or the CCTV software brand that was used.

You need the program offered by the security camera company to view the video.
You install that program on your PC and use it to watch the video.

right click on the file / properties / compatibility

useful for older programs that don't run properly in a newer OS.
