I just bought a new hp PC and have had success using the dvd/cd writer when recording on dvd+r. When i attempt to copy a red book cd( or any music cd-r) using the record Now program, half of the last track on the source cd ends up being the first track on the cd-r...but half way through this first track( on the cd-r), the intended first track( from the source disc) begins to play.

The rest of the recorded cd-r ( after track 1) plays as it is supposed to...including the last track.

I'm using the "make exact copy" option.

what additional info did i leave out?

thanks in advance for any help.

Thats an odd one i haven't had that problem before, what you can do is instead of coping the cd directly, add the music to your machine then copy it from your player to make the cd and see if it happens again.
Plus try and use a CD-RW this way if it fails your not wasting a cd just erase it.
If the problem continues you can go to record now's webpage and either get help there or try to download and overwrite the one you have.
