Problem with services.msc

    I am using Vista and every time I try to access services.msc it forces my computer to shut down

    Do you mean the PC turns Off completely and you have to turn it back on?

    It basically reboots itself

    Very strange.....are you have any other problems with the PC and is this a laptop or desktop?

    How are you trying to access services.msc through the Run command?

    It's a laptop. No experiencing any other problems.

    Try typing msconfig in the run command and click OK, see what happens

    It brings me up a system configuration box

    If this has just happened recently then you can try System Restore and pick a date when you think it was working

    It will not allow me to restore, error message is
    Incomatible version of the serializing package (0x80070724)

    That is the shadow copy...

    Why did you want to get into Services in the first place?

    I run a CRM (Sage ACT) and it has stopped working. I spoke to ACT who advised me that the SQL Server had stopped running and was trying to access it.
