My girlfriend just got a new comptuer a couple weeks ago, and it boots up fine and everything, but once you start preforming any task vista will randomly freeze for a certain amount of time, and then everything will start working again, the computer is an Emachines, its running 1gb of RAM does anyone know what the problem, could be and also would anyone reccomend switching back to XP and if so is there a step by step process for unistalling vista and installing xp?

    Thank you,

    Ryan
