Up until now I've had no problems burning video files onto DVD-Rs through Nero 6. However recently, without any sort of warning or reason, DVD-R burns have all started to fail. It would get to around half or so of burning progress before it would suddenly say the error message 'Error reading data', 'Writing short-lead cop out', and the burning process failing. I thought it may have been just the videos I was attempting to burn, but I just finished an attempt with another set and those have failed as well. I fail to understand why Nero would burn DVD-Rs with no incident whatsoever but suddenly fail every attempted process as of only a week or so ago.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here's a saved log file from one of the failed burning sessions a day or two ago, maybe it'll help things out:

Your DVD drive unable to read the DVD accurately or the file is corrupted. Do you set your burning speed to maximum? I suggest to set the burning speed at a lower rate around 4X up to 8X then check if the burning is successful.

From your log,

Multisession : TRUE
Multisession type: : Start multisession

Try turning off multisession. Uncheck the box 'Allow files to be added later (multisession disc)'.
