Problems Installing Programs

    I have a new laptop computer running Windows 7. My problem is I can't install anything I have downloaded. I am trying to install WinRar and it just isn't working. Can anyone help me? Wrenie

    hi have you downloaded the latest Windows installer,and is microsoft.net framework 4 client profile installed

    No I haven't installed the Windows installer. Where would I find that? And No I haven't installed the ms.net framework 4 client profile. Where would I find that? Thank you for answering so quickly. Wrenie

    you will find these on the Microsoft download center,go to their web site and type in the search bar.

    I have been trying to download the MS Installer, but it keeps telling me that there isn't enough room for it on my computer. That can't be true this is a brand new computer. Now what do I do?

    Did you restart your computer prior to trying to download Windows Installer?
