Everytime i LAN at friends house nothing seems to connect. It connects when i get home and it connects when i got to a different friends house so idk what the problem could be. It may be his configuration on his router.

Obviouly, if your friends's router is secured, you must use the password or the key to get in.

Also, just becuase you see his SSID it does not mean that you can connect, you may need to get much closer to his router to try the connection.

He may also have his system set up for static ip address, or might have limited the number of ips available for use, or might have activated some filtering .

So, please go ahead and provide the requested information above to help us better understand your situation.
