I've searched the forums but the only thread that was relevant had information that was outdated and the links went to 404 pages.

I have Bit Defender 2011 anti virus that can't delete or disinfect the virus java.trojan.downloader.openconnection.ai

Can anyone give me up-to-date information to remove this? I'm on Win7 OS.

Please read that information on the topic.

    Next: Download this > http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe

Run that by doubleclicking. It will clean temp files, Java cache, Flash cache files, etc.

Reboot if it tells you to.

Check with BitDefender again after Updating your antivirus definitions to current.

    1. Please download HijackThis:

Please go here to download HijackThis.
    • To the right of the green arrow under HijackThis downloads click on the Executable button and download the HijackThis.exe file to your desktop.
    • Double-click the HijackThis.exe file on your desktop to launch the program. If you get a security warning asking if you want to run this software because the publisher couldn't be verified click on Run to allow it.
    • Click on the Scan button. The scan will not take long and when it's finished the resulting log will open automatically in Notepad.
    • Save the log file to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents of the log in your post.
Please do not fix anything with HijackThis unless you are instructed to do so. Most of what appears in the log will be harmless and/or necessary..

    Also, do this part>
    • Open Hijack This and click on the "Open the Misc Tools section" button.
    • Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button.
    • Click the "Save List" button.
    • After you click the "Save List" button, you will be asked where to save the file. Pick a place to save it then the list should open in notepad.
    • Copy and paste that list in a reply
