Problems w/ search engines

    I can't get into Google, Alta Vista and LookSmart. But I CAN get into Dogpile and DMOZ. I ran hijack and here is the log:

    Sorry, I'm not a Hijack This expert, but you probably have the QHost trojan. Look at this thread.

    Go to add/remove programs and un-install "newdotnet"
    Then go here:
    http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.qhosts.html download and run the removal tool.

    Then run hijackthis again and put a checkmark against whatever is left of these entries (quite a few will be no longer around.....double check in case you miss anything....
    .....then,close all browser and outlook windows and "fix checked"

    When you're finished , Rescan Hijack This , return to this thread and show us a new log for a follow-up review
