Facebook, Tumblr log in page, Pottermore and Apple pages will not load on any wed browser (Chrome, Firefox and IE) or any computer. All computers run windows 7 and one is very new. The web browser will just keep spinning until it times out.
"Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out." (chrome)
I can access tumblr tags and blogs but not the log in page. My ipod will load both facebook and tumblr but only occasionally loads itunes store.
I have tried accessing the sites at through another network and it works. I have no proxys.
So I think it is something to do with the modem/ router.
The router is Wireless G ADSL2+ Router
    Would appreciate any help
    Thanks

do you have other PCs and are they able to connect to the sites ?

is it only sites that start https: that you have an issue with ?

can you explain - is this in a friends house or cafe etc - or do you have another network at home ?

The other network was at the library.
We have 1 other PC which can connect to Facebook but not all the time, but not to the other websites.
My iPod touch can connect to tumblr, Facebook but it can only sometimes connects to the iTunes store.

sounds like an issue with the ISP allowing access
Have you called the ISP and explained that every thing works correctly at the library network but not on home network
