Not sure if this is the right forum or not, just registered today to seek help.

However, for the past few days I've noticed some strange stuff going on with my laptop. For starters, there is missing text in places I know there should be text.

a few screenshots as examples here as to what i'm talking about.

game client login with missing text

this is affecting my internet browser too such as on photobucket

Not sure if this is related to another issue I'm having here but I'm having problems starting Skype.

I simply get a few error messages that repeat a while.
    These messages are as follows:

    "Out of system resources."
    "Out of system resources."
    "Out of system resources."
"Exception EOutOfResources in module Skype.exe at 0010786A.
The specified resource name cannot be found in the image file."
"A call to an OS function failed."
"Exception Exception in module Skype.exe 000D5835.
    Internal error."

I've tried reinstalling it but I get the same messages.
Also checked for viruses with AVG.

Using a cheap Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows Vista 64-bit. I've never had this problem before so...no idea what to do obviously.
