Macros entered in WordPerfect 8 automatically change since XP was installed. They worked perfectly with the ME edition of Windows. HELP please!

    Joyce,

By "change", do you mean the macros don't work correctly? I don't have any experience with WP8, but I do know that ver. 8 was originally designed and marketed long before XP came on the market, and even ver. 9 was not designed for XP, although its newest service pack (SP4) was a total rewrite of the program that allows it to operate correctly on XP.

I'm not *sure*, but there might be a service pack for WP8 that might allow it to run on XP without problems. If no one else jumps in here, check out the forums at WordPerfect Universe... this kind of question has come up before there.

As a "for instance", I just put in and named two macros. When I called up the first macro I had put in, it had changed to the same wording as the second macro. In other words, I then had two macros with different names, but the same information. My prior Windows application had been ME, and I had no trouble with that, but am having substantial difficulty with XP.
