Problems with XP, Reinstall options....

Is there a way to do a destructive system recovery using only windows, I reformatted and reinstalled XP and lost HP's F10 feature. does windows have a built in option for destructive recovery?


I have no Windows XP CD

Hi, Is this a notebook HP computer? Does yours use a separate partition for Recovery...and you formatted the entire drive, so the hidden partition is gone and you cannot use F10 to access it?
Can you post the exact model of the HP please.

Yes thats exactly what happened...

I am not sure of the HP model number anymore since it has been recased, and the only original HP parts are the Motherboard and the processor.

It is a desktop computer.
