Please click HERE to download and install HijackThis.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile from the Main Menu.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    IMPORTANT: Do not fix anything

Other than those errors showing inside the Event Viewer, do you ever get any errors about it on desktop? Any crash? Any BSOD?

Svchost.exe is the filename for the Generic Host Process for Win 32 Services.

Each svchost.exe process is related to a number of Microsoft services on your computer.

You could download and run the free Process Explorer. It doesn't require any installation. You'll be able to view details for all svchost.exe processes, including the services for each instance.

Sorry i am really green. What is BSOD? yes i do get crashes and hang ups with explorer and when i am running Quickbooks.
Picked up the malware virus last month and have run scans and malware bytes and cleaned up some stuff. It had gotten worse so i stopped using the net altogether hoping that would help but now it seams worse
What am i looking for in the process explore info?

Ok i understand Black Screen of Death.
well i really do not get that. The computer just stops working. i have tried to slow down and limit the applications i have open but it still hangs. So then i just do the hard reboot because task manager does not pop oopen either.
I always hope the reboot cleans things up. It does for a whil but then it eventully hangs.
again i got the disk defragmenter virus last month and have done some cleaning but i think it gone in places where the MAlware Bytes doest fix.
Seems like reinstalling Windows might be a fix so i have been reading that in case thats where i end up but I cannot find the disks that came with the computer so will that be a problem?
    Thanks Don
