Hi everyone - I was wondering what the process looked like for recovering files from a failed HDD, that of which was a mechanical failure. I cannot seem to find anything on Google about this.

This is just plain curiosity! Wanted to know what the process looked like.

The process for File recovery on a mechanically failed hard drive is locating a file recovery service that specializes in such a task. The price can be anywhere between several hundred dollars and several thousand dollars. This is not a task that you can accomplish at home sucessfully unless you have the proper equipment (again costing seral thousand dollars) required for this purpose.
