The first thing to try is uninstalling and reinstall.

Goto Control Panel > Add/Remove ... highlight AdAware and click Add/Remove button.

Does System boot OK when uninstalled?

Download up-to-date AdAware from here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html

    Install - Update.

I'm glad that 1069 recommended uninstalling and reinstalling Ad-Aware because that'll insure that you've got the most current version and aren't using an old version. It'll also remedy the existence of any missing/corrupt files in Ad-Aware that were causing that error message - hopefully.

Hi, I reinstalled AD-AWARE SE, one of my options was, not to uninstall the plug-ins, i chose to do that.
    When i opened the add-ons , after a scan there were'nt any.
I went back and installed the plug-ins, but the only one that shows up is, the VX2 cleaner. Am i doing something wrong, that
the other plug-ins won't install?, even tho it says, they have been successfully installed?
