First time user. Since falling for the jdbgmgr.exe "virus", I have been unable to download internet files--receiving message that
Windows cannot find Program.exe file. This may or may not relate
to the hoax but the timing is certainly suspicious. I've searched
here and do not recognize exactly this scenario. I run Windows
98. I suspect the answer is fairly straightforward for the techguys.
Thanx.

There is no such porgram as "program.exe"..in addation to the links below make sure you have done a full UPDATE virus scan...you can get one online if need be go to TREND ONLINE AV SCAN
If you will provide more info...what exactly you are doing when you get the error etc. etc ...we can cull out some of the links below

It's also very possible the inabality to download has nothing to do with the "program.exe" error..are you unable download any type of file or is it JUST *.EXE's???

When the problem is related to running exes on the hard drive it is often virus related, usually the result of a virus file being removed that is referenced in the Registries shell open command. There is an easy fix for it.

If it is only happening when you do a download, it is likely related to the file type. In most cases these are zip or possibly pdf files for which Windows has no association.

Determine the file type. If it's a zip file, you need a zip program such as Winzip to associate the file to. You can get Winzip's "evaluation" version (it does not expire) which will resolve the problem for you.
