Here is the scenario. I have had my PS3 for over 2 years. I don't play that much and never bothered trying to set it up to go online. But my co-worker talked me into getting Black Ops and now I am trying to connect. So I figured out how to wirelessly connect and all that stuff. My connection strength hovered between 50 and 70%. So to boost the signal, I went out and bought a Netgear WN2000RPT repeater. My PS3 is upstairs and my router is downstairs. I set the repeater up in another room directly above the router. My PS3 to repeater connection now hovers between 95 and 100%.

Now my issue is that I can't get the damn repeater to connect to the router. I followed the directions step by step but quite frankly, they blow. Everything on the repeater seems to be okay and all the lights are green (like they are supposed to be in the directions). The last step is to open the browser and run through a process that they walk you through step by step to connect the repeater to the router but it fails every time. I have done it 10 different ways and tried all sorts of different things but it won't connect.

Now I am relatively proficient with computers (I have a B.S. in IS) so the fact that I have to come here and ask for help is a shot to my ego. So if anyone has any sort of advise, please let me know. And if you need further info/tech specs/other specifics, just let me know and I'll see if I can get the info. I know I am pretty vague here but I don't know what I need to post to help you help me.
