Several years ago, I moved in with someone else, who already had AT&T internet service. I cancelled my acct. with AT&T and my email address became a sub-account of the person I lived with. I have not lived with her for several years, and she has no willingness to help me at this point.

AT&T continues to carry the account for me, and I have used it extensively in my present business. Furthermore, the account is an AT&T/Yahoo account. I use the same id and password for my Yahoo accounts, which include one money fantasy football league and one family fantasy football league for which I am the commissioner.

Three weeks ago, a hacker gained access to my email contacts list and emailed all my contacts. I then changed my password. It is saved on my Windows Live email browser, and it was saved on my Yahoo log-in. However, about a week ago, a close friend asked me to briefly access her Yahoo account. I did, and when I tried to return to my account, it apparently remembered her password........ so I no longer remember my password, and I am unable to access my Yahoo accounts.

I tried to recover my password, but I am apparently not giving the correct answers (there could be several ways to spell the correct security answers). After either trying a couple different passwords or trying to answer the security questions, I am locked out for 24 hours! I cannot afford to be locked out of my email, but in the long run, I cannot afford to not be able to access my Yahoo account.

AT&T/Yahoo customer service just sends me in a circle and have not helped, because I am not a current customer, They provide the link support.att.com/freememberid and tell me this will solve my problems. It is a general page that solves nothing.

Is there a way for me to find my Windows Live mail password? I already paid $25 for 'Password Recovery for Windows Live' from reactive-software. It showed my old password, not my current one! Can anyone help??

unfortunately, we cannot assist with passwords, as we cannot verify the veracity of the request. The internet is a strange medium that way.

Your best bet is to stick with AT&T customer support. I understand it's a royal pain, but we will not be able to assist you here.

    thanks,
