The main power connector for a new PSU I'm looking at states it is a 20+4 pin type. Another states has a 20 & 24 pin
My mobo has a 20 pin connection, so am I okay to go ahead and use one of these?

Most new Model power supplies of any quality have a 24 pin connector that has the last 4 pins removable for use on a 20 pin motherboard connector. Be certain that you do not scrimp on your power supply. as the cheaper ones often cause more problems than the money yo9u save is worth. Quality manufacturers are Antec, Enermax, Sparkle, Fortron, Thermaltake, and a few others.
