hi, Im trying to figure out these error messages Im getting when trying to open publisher.
    this is the message:
    (unsaved publication) Microsoft Publisher:MSPUB.EXE-Application error

the instruction at 0x77fca6e3" referenced memory at 0x8340f07d. the memory could not be written.

click ok to terminate the program.

were using Office 2000, Win 2000, the computers have plenty of memory? are these virtual memory errors? how do you resolve those types if they are?
I uninstalled office and reinstalled, didnt work.obviously.

any suggestions I would greatly appreciate guys.

after you get those messages, can you enter Publisher?

If so, go to Help, Detect and Repair.

Are you trying to open Publisher in general, or a specific file?

I found a reference to this for Excel and Visual Basic, and it recommends installing the latest Service Pack to correct the problem.
Maybe it will work for Publisher as well.

I cannot open it after the messages come up, I tried upping the virtual memory and pagin file size, nothing worked. I cannot open anything.

I will go out to this site and check out the service pack.

    thanks!
