Pup Removal

    My Mcafee Virus Scan Says That A Pup Is Found And I Can't Remove It. I Have A Dell That I Purchased 4months Ago And I Don't Know Anything About Computers. Can Anyone Please Help Me?

    I have the same problem Mcaffee says it cant delete the PUP called Reboot.exe. I did a search for that file and had negative results. How do I get rid of this exe file?

    Try the SuperAntiSpyware in my signature . .download, inst ll and update it, the boot into safe mode to run a scan

    Is this a pup file in windows your trying to delete? or is this a pup

    Safe Mode is a special mode that windows can run in with a limited number or drivers loaded and no applications . . Tap F8 repeatedly, about twice a second, from the time you press the power button . . you will get a menu that includes Safe Mode ( at the top of the list ) . . choose that and then run the scan.

    No video drivers will be loaded so the screen will look pretty scrabby, but it's ok.

    Yeah, SuperAntiSpyware in either safemode or normal boot will do the job. :)
