Hi everyone, I just thought that i would share my findings on this problem as it has been giving me a headache all night. I tried to install Windows 7 on my laptop which was running ubuntu 14.04 and i kept getting denied due to error msg-

    "PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"

I tested the hard drive and it was ok, I installed linux mint and was successful and realized that the fault was in the usb drive. So after a great deal of research the result was that the installer needed to be made bootable for UEFI.

    - Create bootable Windows 7 usb using the Windows 7 usb/dvd download tool
    - Once completed open the efi folder
    - Create a new folder and name it "Boot"
    - Open the microsoft folder and then open the boot folder and copy all of it's contents
    - Paste the contents into the "Boot" folder that you created
    - Open the "sources" folder and right click on the "install.WIM" file and use 7.zip to open archive
    - Once extracted open the "windows" folder then open "boot" and then open "EFI"
    - Locate "bootmngfw.efi" and drag it to the "boot" folder that you created
    - After moving the "bootmngfw.efi" file rename it to "BOOTX64.EFI"

After doing this my usb booted finally booted into the Windows 7 installer screen and I was able to proceed normally. I hope this post saves someone else some grief.
