Does anyone know how to disable quicktime from putting qttask on the startup list everytime I use the program. I have disabled it of course but everytime quicktime runs it places it back on the list. There is no option in quicktime to disable this. Thanks!

Crawdad:

QTTASK is a persistent little bugger and likes to reactivate itself in the MSCONFIG startup list.

Open the registry and drill down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - Software - Microsoft - Windows - CurrentVersion, then click directly on the Run folder.

If QTTASK is listed in the right pane of the Run folder, right-click it, then click Delete - Yes. If it's not there, click directly on the other folders that start with "Run" and see if it's there.

LOADQM is another one that can be persistent and can be deleted.
