Have used Avira for a long time and have never needed to check on this matter.
Now trying a cleanup on a friends non-booting machine. Removed his hard drive and installed it as slave in my machine to ensure that his drive was accessible. It is, so I right clicked on it from "My Computer" and ran MalwareBytes which came up clean.
I then ran Avira AntiVir. It found 13 infections and 1387 warnings.
Question now is: How can I find out what the heck all those warnings are? Could not find any log for them. Never had any on my machine.

    Start Avira
Go to View | Overview | Events
In the right pane you can check the boxes in the filter section to show any combination of Info, Warnings, Errors, or Detections. Double click an entry to get more info.

If you're using the free version and have disabled the Nag screen, you won't be able to click the links (if any) to get more info on viruses, the encyclopedia uses the same engine that the Nag screen uses. Usually there are only links in the Quarantine display, or in the detection popup
