I have a S3 Trio 3D/2X video card with 4MB of memory, it uses a AGP slot, but it has only 2 "plugs", one short one followed by a long one. I want to upgrade to a card with more Video ram, so I searched for cards with AGP slots, the problem is, all of those cards have 3 "plugs", which looks very different from mying. I think they may not work with my motherboard. Is there different kinds of AGP slots?

Agp is for accelerated graphics port. It has been the same size since its introduction. are you sure that yours is currently a agp card. The are 3 major kinds of slots. the lighter brown, agp, white is normally pci and the dark brown are isa. in that order.

There are always new boards and standards coming out especilly in graphics.

Here is a picture of the differences in AGP ports and lots of information on them.

From what I am reading on the site the extra (AGP PRO spec) is used to get more power to the graphics board.
