Ok, so recently nVidia released the 8800GT, and as far as I can tell, all of the cards use PCI-Express 2.0. I have no idea what the difference is between PCI-Express 2.0 and PCI-Express x16.

So, if I were to take one of these 8800GTs and put it into my motherboard (An EVGA nForce 590), which only has PCI-Express x16 slots, would I be able to use the card?

    Thanks in advance,

    Waldo

Yes, the 8800gt is backward compatable, as are all pci-e 2 cards that will come out.
