I have Quick Time version 5.0.2 installed on a windows xp computer. How do I delete the drop down history list in the File/Open URL box?

    Hiya

    This is for WMP:

Go to Run and type REGEDIT

To remove the most recently used URL from Windows Media Player, use Registry Editor to delete the specific URLx entry in the RecentURLList folder under:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player

Or, delete the RecentURLList folder to remove the entire list.

To remove the most recent Radio URL from Windows Media Player, use Registry Editor to remove the Radio_Station_x entry from the MRUList folder under:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Radio

Or, delete the entire MRUlist folder to remove the entire list.

Not sure about Quicktime, as I don't use it, but if you go to the Registry, and look in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software You should see the Quicktime folder.

Does it have an MRU folder in there?

Do exit, just click the large X.

If not, its okay, as I can ask someone with Quicktime to take a look.

    Regards
