Rodi:
If you want to get rid of Quicktime, do the following:
1. Click Start - Settings - Control Panel, then double-click Add/Remove Programs. Click on and highlight Quicktime, then click Remove. This will uninstall the program.
2. Click Start - Programs - Windows Explorer - Program Files. Right-click on the Quicktime folder, then click Delete - Yes. This will remove its folder.
3. Click Start - Find - Files And Folders, select the hard drive to look in, type in QUICKTIME, then click Find Now. When the list of files appears, hold down the Ctrl key, click on and highlight all the files that pertain to Quicktime, release the Ctrl key, then click File - Delete - Yes. This will delete any leftover stray files.
4. Click Start - Run, type in REGEDIT, then click OK. Click the + in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - Software
If Quicktime is listed in either Software sub-menu, right-click on it, then click Delete - Yes. This will get rid of the registry entries.
5. Reboot(shutdown and restart) your computer.
If you follow my steps carefully and exactly, you should be able to do this.
