"qbw32.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows..."

When I open up QB, it comes up with the windows I had open in the previous session. when I try to close a one of the three windows I get the above error and it shuts down. When I try to backup the session, I get the same error and it shuts down.

I uninstalled QB, deleted my existing company file and reinstalled the program. When I restored the backup copy, I'm still getting the same errors, which tells me the errors are now inherent in my only backup copy.

Does that sound right, or is there something I can do about it?

I am running Windows 2000 Pro and QuickBooks Pro 2000
