I have Quicken 2010. I'm having a problem reconciling on Quicken that I've not had before. My opening balance on the Quicken summary statement is incorrect. I've spent 1 hour each on two separate occasions talking with Quicken support which was of no help. They lead me in circles and didn't solve my problem. I've also searched the internet for answers and have read that one solution is to click 'Finished' at the end of reconciling which will lead me to a tab for Quicken to make an adjustment for the difference. This just adds the difference to my register balance which doesn't reflect the true balance of my checking account. Is there a way that I can change the opening balance to show the balance that my bank statement shows? I've tried changing it on the Quicken summary statement, but when I click 'OK' the amount shown on the page where you click off credits and debits still shows the incorrect opening balance.
