i can no longer view any streaming media thats quicktime based, i can download it and watch it, but no streaming, no firewall software is present, other types of streaming media work fine, and i get a message that says the plugin has performed an illegal operation. same message in ie7. also, i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling quicktime, and reformatting and reinstalling windows, still no help. i was already going to reinstall and just assumed the quicktime issue was just one more glitch among many from a pc with a 4 year old xp installation, so i wasnt that worried about it until it was still present after a reformat. win xp pro, sp2, firefox/ie7, nvidia gforce 5500

    any ideas?
    thanks in advance
