Radio interferance

    not sure if im in the right forumut heres my problem

    My Pc when the power is turned on interfers with every MW frequency radio station in the whole house any ideas why this is so? its like a buzzing noise so bad that the talking canteven be heard

    thanks for your time anyone who can solve this x

    How far away is the radio from your PC. If they are fairly close, you may want to move them further apart.

    pretty far. the pc is downstairs in the back room and the radios upstairs are affected not just the ones directly above it there is seriously no where futher they could be apart. this problem has only arosed since we had the cd/rw drive replaced. this couldnt be the issue tho could it?

    Try disconnecting power to the CD/RW drive and then powering up the PC. If the interference is gone away, you should have found the component in the PC causing the problem.

    Would guess a newer new CD/RW would be the solution if you can prove this particular one is causing the trouble. Might be able to return it.
