Hi all it's me again! A friend of mine just got a new computer with windows xp installed, but something seems screwed. The type/font appears to be rainbow colored. It ranges from green, to blue, black and reddish. At first glance it seems black, but when reading you can definately see the colors changing. The y's and w's are very faint at times the same when 2 l's are next to each other. She also has a new Samtron monitor and we were wondering if it was that, but it is not as the type color remains black when it is attached to my system. We have set the type settings the same as her machine. And she has tried everything imaginable to correct this to no avail. When she goes into system settings it tells her all is right with the display drivers, but when she goes to "display adapters" which is an extra on xp , it tells her it is not connected/ installed or running properly. So what could this be? Could it be windows xp, the graphics card or what? Please help! She is going to go bald soon!!!

Sounds like a driver problem. If it's a new
computer, have you tried the manufacturers
    site for help?
