Very quick yes/no question. I currently have

    2 x 512mb Kingston value DDR2-533 PC2-4200

will this ram be compatible, and is it better than the Kingston Value series?

    OCZ 1GB DDR2-533 PC2-4200 Value Series

    Thanks for your help.

They're both technically the same, but due to manufacturer variations some brands are better than others due to reliability issues and such. In short, yes, it is compatible.

I would say no as Ocz brand ram has come out of no where and while I don't know the real mfgr, every time I check new boards for that ram, it is never listed for the newest boards which makes me suspicious. there are many posts in these forums about ocz ram and incompatibility besides.Just my 2 cents!
