My current Ram is PC2100 512mb. I'm looking to upgrade it and sites I have been on say that I can use PC2700 Ram on it. Now will this work??

My computer is some what old it is a E-4000 gateway. I'm just wanting to know that if I purchase this size ram will it work on my computer.

    thank you.

If you want to double-check this, go to the Gateway website and find what RAM is recommended for your particular PC.
    But Crucial is pretty reliable!;)

What are you trying to do, just add a bit of performance?

It would be best to go to the gateway site in case your pc uses certain vendor specific ram, ecc, non ecc, etc. and then get that specific ram, either there or somewhere else if it is cheaper, just make sure you get the correct ram.
