I had 3 GB ram in my laptop and i wanted to make it 4, so after i plug in the 2nd 2GB ram into the slot, machine is no longer booting i mean it comes to the windows logo screen but it wont go fwd from there.

But when i remove one of the 2GB rams it works fine, and now it wont even work for the previous 3Gb set, how ever the memory is recognized in the bios section when i checked, it just that the stupid machine wont boot up n i have to stick to 2GB now coz it wont even work for 3GB which was working fine earlier.

What can i do to fix this issue, will it help if i plug in the 4 GB rams and then format C n reinstall windows ?
