I'm looking to upgrade my memory from 1GB to 2GB.

    Currently have 2x 512MB DDR333 MOT Dimm 184 pin PC2700

    Got an AOpen, MATX, MK77M-8XN, SktA, FSB400/DDR333/S-ATA/ATA133, S & G & LAN, ViaKM400 motherboard, running AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.833GHz (333FSB) Barton Core.

Want to understand the difference between PC2700, PC3200, PC4000 and which is best for my system performance.

    Can anyone advise please? Thanks.

The big difference is the clock frequency. PC3200 runs at 400mhz, PC2700 at 33Mhz, and PC4000 runs at 500Mhz. Since your CPU has a 333Mhz Front Side Bus then PC2700 is all that you need. Most of those motherboards run bets when the processor and memory frequencies are matched up.
