Hello,
I want to upgrade the amount of RAM on my desktop. I know each desktop has a specific type of RAM e.i. ddr, ddr2 and so fourth. So, I was wondering if there is a way to find out what type of RAM my computer needs without opening it or seaching through the manual. Thanks

you can go to http://kingston.com/. There they have a huge database of PCs and laptops and it will tell exactly what the type of memory you need and also the maximum amount of memory your system can support.

you can also go to www.cdw.com choose products->Hardware->memory upgrades and this section will show you the different brands and types of memory available for your PC
