    Is there a screen you can go to on your computer to determine what type of RAM you have (not the amount).....Is it EDO, DIMM, SIMM?

    you can look at your ram it will be marked what kind it is pc 100 pc133 but you will have to take the case off to do so

    What kind of machine is it? Or better yet do you know what the motherboard is? Most systems will only take one kind and you can research that through the mfg website. A few boards are able to accept both dimms or simms. Give us a little more info.

    not sure if it tells you that in the bios, you might try that.
