I have a 4 year MSI laptop that I love... recently I have intermittent problems with all of the below, the additional weirdness being a) they come and go, and b) they all seem to happen concurrently or not happen concurrently:

    1) very slow internet on home or work WiFi. It still works, but it stalls on loading Facebook content or YouTube videos for quite some time (I use Chrome, but switching to Internet Explorer today yielded even slower internet access)

    2) clicking on an mp3 or video file no longer opens it in Windows Media Player (my default program). I can right click open with VLC and the files play fine.

    3) clicking on Acrobat files / PDFs they wont open in Acrobat Reader anymore.

These problems happen after restarts and shut downs for a day or so, then they all go away for a couple days. I have had trouble installing Windows 8 updates for some time. They never work during a general restart. If you go to tiles view and use PC settings, I *think* that has pushed some of them through.

That’s where I am at. Any thoughts?
