Random Floppy Craziness

My computer randomly searches the floppy drive and i cant figure out why.
I would really appreciate some help.

Sounds like a most recently used entry in the registry or the documents folder. GO to start > Settings > Task & Start Menu items.....click the Start Menu Programs tab and press the clear button.

:cool: Right click My Computer. Click on Properties/Performance/File System/Floppy Disk. Uncheck "Search for new floppy......" option. If this doesn't correct it then check in the BIOS for "Boot-up floppy seek" and disable it. This option is not necessary unless you have a flopyy drive with a capacity of more than 1.44MB. Hopr this helps. KW1

Everyone has offered good advise. Also make sure your virus scanner does not have the A: selected, if you use one.
