I went to some site and then it restarted my computer. When my computer came back, there were ads everywhere and a lot of other junk. I used adaware but some pop ups still appear out of nowhere when I'm not even surfing. Please help me get rid of them. Thank you

First run this uninstaller to get rid of the peper.a trojan:

http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/uninst.exe

*Note: Just click on the uninst.exe and let it run. When it is finished it will just close. There will be no dialogue. Also you must be connected to the internet for the uninstaller to be effective.

Download LSP Fix

LSP Fix download link

Checkmark the box that says "I know what I'm doing".

Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.

Check all instances of lspak.dll (and nothing else) , and move them to the "Remove" pane.
Then click Finish.

Now start your computer in Safe Mode and delete:

The C:\windows\system32\lspak.dll file

You have an outdated version of HiJackThis. (It's currently at v1.98.2)

To update HiJackThis (or use the majorgeeks link below to redownload it):

Open the program. click "Config..." --> "Misc. Tools" --> "Check for Update Online".

Or:

Please go to this site and download HiJackThis:

***NOTE***Do not FIX anything without a log analyzer's guidance. MOST of what's listed is necessary for your computer to operate normally.

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Under "Official Downloads" HiJackThis. It's the 2nd one down.

Download and unzip to a permanent folder of your own creation.

Open HiJackThis. Click "Scan". Then, in the lower left corner, click "Save Log".

Save it to your permanent HiJackThis folder (or floppy disk if necessary).

The log will open in Notepad. Click "Edit" then "Select All".

Copy and paste the log back to this thread.

Alternate download links:

Restart your computer.

Before we start, let's disable your System Restore. After the infection's been cleaned re-enable system restore.
